With over 24 continuous years in the Food and Agriculture industries in general, with 14 years of the 21 years in Banking and Finance with a strong emphasis on Agriculture and Agribusiness lending and investments. Having worked with three different banks in Ghana, Francis Osei is an expert in Agribusiness and Agricultural Banking and Financing. He has hands-on experience in dealing in various forms of agriculture financing products and structuring agriculture deals. He is also very experienced in management of agricultural portfolio with three banks at various times, having had overall senior level responsibility for the quality and performance of the agricultural business for the banks.
He has been a respected resource person on agriculture and agribusiness value chain financing-related issues in Ghana and West Africa. He was an In-House Training Resource Person for the Agricultural Development Bank, Ghana, offering training on the Bank's Credit Policy and Risk Assessment and Mitigation.
He has been the Training Consultant for the IFAD/AfDB Funded Northern Rural Growth Programme (NRGP) for the training of the staff of Rural Finance Institutions in the four regions the project covers, including Commercial Banks and Savings and Loans Institutions since 2011 on Value Chain Financing and related agricultural financing deals including structured Commodity Financing. He is also an IFAD Funded Rural and Agricultural Finance Programme (RaFIP) Accredited Service Provider on Agricultural Finance.
